Grand Designs House
We were contacted by Dr Daniel Mok who had a house in Esher, Surrey that was in need of energy efficient cooling and heating.
Due to the large open plan nature of the house and the construction being half glass, we had to give careful consideration to installing a system that would not intrude on the layout of the house. It would also have to allow for the sizeable heat gains and losses from the building's fabric.
We installed ducted ceiling and wall recessed fan
coil units that were connected to three pipe, heat recovery, external condensing
units manufactured by Daikin.
The photo illustrates how discretely the units have extended into the layout and decoration of the building.
After the project was completed it was featured in Channel 4's property programme GRAND DESIGNS, at which time the show's presenter Kevin McCloud discussed the property's design and air conditioning with Dr Mok
